We are so thankful that we found Shawn! We never much cared for the idea of boarding our dogs (especially since one of them is a senior and a diabetic).  Shawn has a great deal of experience when it comes to administering insulin injections which helped to relieve our worries. Our fur babies were well taken care of and we will definitely use her in the future.

Shawn was wonderful at taking care of our fur baby, Julia. I would consider Julia special needs and Shawn did not hesitate to come over and have a consultation. She took very good care of Julia; she made sure she was fed,  received medicine and had adequate potty breaks. We even received pictures of Julia. Whiskers of My Heart is now our "go to" for when we need a pet sitter!

I used Shawn for the first time and I'm very happy with her services! I was so nervous leaving my pup for a week but I felt comfortable with her. She was professional, affordable, consistent, and very caring towards my dog! She even noticed the heat on the pavement during the summer could be painful for him so walked him away from hot pavement or at times when it was'nt so hot. When he was'nt eating because he missed his mom, she went out and bought food and treats to get him to eat.  Thankful I found her.

We were absolutely delighted by the excellent and compassionate care our pets received while we were out of town for several days.  This was our first experience with Shawn, but it won’t be the last. Our sweet old puppy dog and our two frisky cats were as happy as can be when we got back home. Shawn contacted us —with photos—after each visit, so we felt perfectly at ease. I can't say enough of what a great job Shawn did in taking care of my girls Skittles and Pebbles while I went on vacation. Shawn was truly a blessing.  I came across her page when I was searching for a pet sitter for my cat, Buddy.  Buddy is very shy until he gets to know and trust you so I knew leaving him with a boarding site wasn’t going to be best for him.  Shawn was such pleasure to have take care of Buddy.  She sent pictures and/or video daily and be acclimated to her right away!!  It was a relief to know he would be well taken care of while we were away for so long. I will definitely use her again!!

I travel a lot and I constantly worry about my fur babies when I am away from home. I have always been hesitant to kennel my 4 and 6 year old "pups" while away, but it was becoming harder to find friends or family to watch them. I am not the kind of person who just leaves my pets with anyone other than family, but the last time I left my 14 yr old silky with my sister- she lost her.. I have a new baby silky named max now and was going on vacation. I had to find someone and decided I would give her a call. I met with her two months before my trip and decided she was very personable, very good attention to details and decided to give her a shot. I’m definitely a “dog mom” we eat at the same time, sleep snuggled up together, take showers together...he is part of my soul!!
You can see how hard it was to leave my one yr old baby to a stranger.... but I can tell you now- she is a beautiful soul! I received pictures of max and our kitties every day!! So I knew he was still alive and being walked and fed his treats. It really helped!! Shaun is 100% dependable to do what she says she will or whatever you ask of her. . . and found she is 100% trustworthy!! She was good to my babies and now I consider her family... I couldn’t have asked god for a better person. She was a saint in my time of need. If you need a woman to love and care for or walk your dog, I can’t recommend to you highly enough how great she is at her job.!! You have to have this woman to care for your home, and babies. She even checked my mail everyday and brought it in!!! You HAVE to call this woman TODAY if you want the BEST!!!

Shawn's love of animals is apparent - she cared for my babies (all SIX of them!) like her own. I received pictures & updates daily and she never once was overwhelmed with my insistent need to know every single thing that the kids are doing in my absence. ? Shawn is reliable and detail oriented. She took extensive notes of how I do things in my daily routine so as not to interrupt the lives of the kids too much. Additionally, I have two animals with special medical needs and she medicated them both without hesitation.

I have used Shawn for about 3 years for my 2 cats and she is a true professional. My cats do not warm up to strangers easily but Shawn has them literally posing for pictures and "eating out of her hand" by the 2nd day.  Each day starts with a text photo and progress report.  I can count on excellent care for my pets with Shawn even though I hate to be away from them. We can't say enough about Shawn and her genuine love and affection for pets.  Our Siamese, Ling, accepts her as part of our family whenever we use her services.  We went on a month long trip, in July, and was very concerned about Ling and whether she would feel abandon.  Shawn was there every one of 34 days and took the time to play with Ling.  It got to the point that Ling would jump into her lap and purr up a storm.  Every day we were gone, received a text, most with an attached video, showing us how happy Ling was and that she was doing just fine under Shawn's excellent care.  Also keep in mind, that when you allow someone into your home, you run the risk of  "pilgerage."  This has never, never been a problem with Shawn.  She is on a very short list of pet caretakers, actually just one!  We've had others who "cat sit" for us, but non as reliable, dependable, and caring as Shawn.  No question about it, she is the best!!  Hire her!!

We have been so lucky to have Shawn watch our 2 Shih tzus.  We went on vacation for  a couple of days and usually have them stay at a kennel (which we really liked because the staff is nice and the facility is clean), but the last 2 times we took them our oldest suffered from separation anxiety when we got him back home.  So, I had seen Shawn's card a the vet's office and read the below customer comments and gave Shawn a call.  She came over to our house and our oldest, who is usually a little standoff-ish to new people, jumped up on the couch and laid right next to Shawn as if he knew her for a long time and wanted her to rub his tummy.  Shawn came over to our house and took our dogs for a walk, and made sure they had food, gave them attention and sent us cute pictures.  When we came back from our trip, our dogs were so happy to see us & only had one accident (which Shawn cleaned up).  Our dogs did not have any separation anxiety and I loved the fact that they could be comfortable in our home. Thank you so much Shawn! :o)

I felt very comfortable with Shawn coming into our home to take care of Maddy. She is very organized and thorough. We will be calling her again soon!

I have two small very spoiled little Morkies. My husband works 10-12 hour days. I recently had an unexpected death in my immediate family and traveled to Indiana in very short notice. I got Shawn's contact information from my Veterinarian's office. Shawn came in in the middle of the day to let the girls out to play, eat, and potty to tide them over until my husband came home early evening. I only needed someone for 3 days. It saved me daily boarding fees at a kennel, and the hassle of having to take them out to deliver them for boarding, and then having to makes another trip to retrieve them when I returned home. Shawn did an excellent job and sent picturess of every visit she had with my girls while I was away. I was very pleased at what an excellent job she did and I highly recommend her services. I will definitely be using her again in the very near future as I have family
coming to stay over Easter and we have a couple of long day trips we are planning on making.

Shawn had a challenge caring for my five cats who have to be kept in separate parts of the house for feeding issues. Everyone was in their proper spots with plenty of water and clean boxes. Shawn had even swept up the litter which they insist on tracking out of the boxes with them. I plan to use her again soon.

Shawn took care of our place w hile we were away on an extended Thanksgiving trip and she was Expert in every way. So very thankful for her wonderful work! I have two yorkies, one is diabetic and I have been a slave to their needs until I met Shawn. I must admit I was a little nervous having someone come into my house and be responsible for taking care of my dogs, especially the diabetic one. My daughter plays collegiate volleyball and her season started and I was desperate. I did not want to miss a game and I did not want to take the dogs with me. Shawn has helped us out twice now and I plan to line her up for the whole season.Shawn fed the dogs, give the insulin shot and let them out to do their business. She was very efficient and responsible and I am so glad I found her.

First and foremost, Shawn was a god sent! Due to the inclement weather during Spring Break, some of my kids plans didn\'t work out. I would highly recommend Shawn for pet sitting. She took care of my toy poodle for two months while I was overseas. We met a few times before I left. I felt very comfortable knowing Shawn would be taking great care of my little "baby". She sent me pictures and responded quickly to all of my emails. Heard of Shawn as a pet sitter in the area. We called her for her to stop buy so we could meet and she should meet the dogs and to go over the routine. Just as we was impressed with her, she was impressed with the dogs. Any time we needed her she was able to swing by. Just as comfortable as she was with the dogs we felt comfortable knowing the dogs would be taken care of at home and not some stressed out kennel. I have no worries of leaving the dogs at home with Shawn around.

Shawn has been so wonderful with my cat and 90 pound dog. She treats them as if they are her own pets and even let my cat sleep with her. She is very soft spoken to them but can handle whatever their needs are. I know that they love her as the cat sleeps in shawns lap while she watches tv and the dog lays on the couch next to her.
